We're off and rolling
We left Greenwell Point on Friday June 26 a little sad but very excited that we had finally found the road well travelled.
However, we didn't venture far - three hours later we were happily ensconced with the Blue Mountain lovelies: sister Julie and her partner Mark.
A few bubbles, good food, great company and a warm bed within their home meant our plans to start life in the Eco Tourer were quickly postponed. We figure the reality of living in a wee van will be ours to experience soon enough.
Garry had never been introduced to the three sisters at Katoomba so off we toddled to make their acquaintance. A beautiful day and the sisters were in fine form. We briefly met up with the lovely Lou and her friend Lauren.
Then it was on to chilly Orange with sister Geepie and hubby Ray. The hardy Windsors told us the minus 1 overnight temp was mild compared to the previous week so we stopped our grizzling and enjoyed a wonderful catch up with the family.

We are now hanging in Narromine with the fine folks Gina and Wally. We still haven't had a night in the van since leaving Greenwell Point but it's about to happen. On Friday we roll on to a campsite in the Warrumbungle National Park. We will probably freeze our little butties off but it's time to get real about this camping lark. Lots of bush walking and a visit to Siding Springs Observatory is part of the plan. We'll keep you posted. Love n hugs Jen and Gaz

Electric blanket and Aldi plonko await you anytime here in Bundeena, but it sounds like a great start to a blog and a stunning adventure. Don't be mean with the posts; the more the merrier. Vroom vroom. Beep beep.
ReplyDeleteP.s. No doubt the three sisters will never be the same, not after Gazza.
